Ladies and Gents! The second the Christmas Tree got packed away I was ready for summer fashion. New York, however had other plans. Plans that seemingly kept me in my plush sweaters and boots a little bit longer than I had hoped. But as of last week, it would appear that the snow and slush has finally (yes finally, we had a snow warning last week) subsided and made way for the green grass, and sunny skies ahead. Of course in my world, the beautiful weather also means that I can wear all the summer things without freezing my buns off.
In the fashion world, I’m pretty sure that “spring fashion” starts the second Santa returns back to the North Pole. Which meant for the past 5 months I’ve been shooting in mini dresses and cut offs in 40 degree weather to keep up with the latest fashion trends of the season. And, as much as I love shooting in fun pieces as soon as they drop, I am proud to announce that i will no longer be shivering and shaking while I do so. Yay!

This is a classic look for summer. I love a fun printed blouse and denim short combo. I raved about these distressed denim shorts when I first got them because they actually cover your tush. Yes in full. Yes you can bend over in them. They're the prefect mix between "I want to be stylish and rock new trends because I'm young and fun" and "I have two kids and I'd like to be able to run around chasing them without my entire tush showing" and you can snag them for under $50!
This Lace-detailed blouse is another staple that i can't get enough of. It has dreamy bubble sleeves and beautiful lace detailing on the bust and shoulders. Let's also talk about the material. It's so breezy and airy, so you can easily rock this blouse in the summer heat.
Now lets talk about Jumpsuits. One-Piece outfits are my secret to cozy-chic summer style. I love this strapless blue option because the breezy texture, and strapless neckline allow for it to double as a super chic bathing suit cover up as well. This option screams beach day vibes to me.
This mustard colored jumpsuit, has a fun ruffled neckline that could easily take this look from day at the beach, to date-night with just a few simple changes of your accessories.

This camo number is by far my favorite Jumpsuit of the season. It 1.) has pockets 2.) feels like you're wearing your pajamas and 3.) is the perfect piece to literally LIVE all summer long in. Doing nothing, this look works. Going grocery shopping, this look works, Going to visit friends, this looks works. It's the perfect addition to any wardrobe.
And of course we couldn't finish this post without talking about dresses. This grey & white printed number is another great piece to wear barefoot on the beach during the day, and then with heels and some fun earrings at night for drinks with friends. I love versatile pieces for summer, because I am so busy, I seek out pieces that can easily be styled to go from morning to night with me seamlessly.
