Hey y’all, it feels like it’s been forever. Let’s first discuss the reason behind this “forever” AKA the three weeks that I’ve sat every single night at my computer, with full intention to type up this blog post, but instead found myself staring at my screen like it was one of those bright flashlights cops shine around (I’m sure there’s a name for it, and my husband would probably get a kick out of me not knowing what it is).

But anywho, suddenly my eyes couldn’t tolerate screens, phones, even driving. My whole world pretty much became a blur (literally).

And while I am figuring out the logistics of who can help me with this problem (and for sure NOT googling my sympotms again), siri and my darling husband have come together to help me curate this blog post.

So let’s get right into it

let’s chat about all things SUMMER! If I could describe my summer fashion in three words they would be; feminine, versatile, and comfortable.

I’m still hopeful that the gloomy spring weather will soon turn into the warm summer days that I’ve been dreaming of. But, it seems like the second the snow melts away, I’m reaching towards some of my favorite summer go-tos. Here’s a run down of some pieces I can’t get enough of right now, that are sure help you achieve the perfect summer wardrobe.

Dresses

I have an endless amount of dresses in my closet, so I thought id round up some of my favorites for the season first.

Let’s face it, dresses are a summer staple because they’re easy. There I said it. I adore the simplicity of throwing on one item of clothing and walking out the door. Dresses are also the BFF to any of your favorite outerwear pieces. Denim jackets, momo jackets, dusters, and cardigans love a good summer dress. Another plus is that you can probably blindly walk into your closet and choose any pair of shoes to complete the Ensemble. Dresses work with sneakers, sandals, mules, wedges. I even paired mine with a fun pair of booties.

Sandals for Summer

To be honest I’m a bootie girl from September until April, but the second the sun comes out I need to slide into some comfy flats. What I love even more about these options is that they’re all under $100!

Graphic Tees

Oh my goodness! I’m an all year, 365, proud supporter of a great graphic tee. They can be styled up or down, and add a bit of personality, meaning, or humor to any look. Here are a few that I’ve been reaching for over and over again.

Handbags

And can we talk about fun summer trends without talking about the moment bags are having in fashion right now! Woven, straw, and clear alike. I am all about mixing things up with accessories. Here are some current favs I’m obsessed with.

This clear bag from Policy is such a show stopper, and so stinking versatile. Pro tip: carry a matching wallet inside the bag so that all your things are still safely tucked away.
